Plenty of Australians reach South Florida through Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International rather than Miami, usually on a cheap domestic leg from New York, Atlanta or Dallas after the long haul across the Pacific. Smart move: FLL is smaller, calmer and quicker to clear than MIA, and with a pre-booked Aus Limo pickup it might be the smoothest airport experience of your whole trip.

The airport sits just south of downtown Fort Lauderdale, with four compact terminals in a single loop. JetBlue operates from Terminal 3, Delta from Terminal 2, Southwest from Terminal 1, and most international services use Terminal 4. Tell us your flight number and none of that matters to you anyway; your driver tracks the flight, meets you at baggage claim with a name board, and adjusts automatically if you are early or late.

From FLL you are about six miles from the sand at Fort Lauderdale Beach, ten minutes from the Port Everglades cruise terminals, and twenty-eight miles up the I-95 from Downtown Miami. That Miami run takes 35 to 50 minutes depending on traffic, and it is a fixed fare with us, so a slow crawl past Aventura costs you nothing extra.

Every booking includes thirty minutes of free waiting on domestic arrivals and sixty on international, airport parking, tolls, WiFi and bottled water. Fares start at $89. If your plans involve a cruise out of Port Everglades or PortMiami, mention it and we will time the pickup around embarkation windows, something the rank taxis will not do for you.
